Bitdefender GravityZone is available in three editions: Business Security, Business Security Premium, and Business Security Enterprise. All three provide centralized management for protecting company computers and servers, but they differ in their ability to detect advanced threats, analyze events, and respond to incidents. Your choice therefore depends not only on the devices you need to protect, but also on the level of insight and the tools required by the person responsible for security. See what each edition includes and which one is right for your company.
What does every GravityZone edition include?
GravityZone combines endpoint protection with centralized management. Administrators use a single console to view protected computers and servers, their status, and detected threats. They can also apply consistent policies across the entire company or selected teams instead of configuring each device individually.
All editions share a core set of capabilities that detect malicious files and suspicious processes, protect against phishing and network attacks, assess risk, and limit the impact of ransomware. Each GravityZone edition expands on this foundation: Premium adds tools for detecting more advanced threats, while Enterprise also includes EDR. Protection is available for workstations, company laptops, and servers running Windows, macOS, or Linux.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security: what does the base package include?
Business Security is the entry-level option in the Bitdefender GravityZone range. It is designed to prevent infections, block common attack paths, and apply consistent security policies across the company.
Business Security uses machine learning, behavioral analysis, and process monitoring to detect threats. When it identifies malicious activity, it can stop the offending process, isolate the threat, and reverse some of the resulting changes. Network protection also detects brute-force attacks, port scans, and signs that an attacker is moving between devices. Business Security also analyzes web traffic, including encrypted SSL connections, and blocks malicious websites, files, scripts, and phishing attempts.
Business Security also helps reduce risk before an attack occurs. It identifies vulnerable software, insecure system settings, and risky user behavior. Administrators can use this information to change configurations and set company-wide rules for websites, applications, and external devices.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security also includes a module that provides ransomware protection. It monitors file operations and detects attempts to encrypt files without the user's consent. In this situation, it stops the malicious code and restores previously saved versions of affected files to their original locations. This helps the company recover data quickly. However, this capability does not replace backups stored elsewhere.
In short, Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security focuses on threat prevention and consistent security policies across the company.
Who is it for? Companies that need centralized protection for computers and servers but do not need to investigate more advanced threats or reconstruct incidents across multiple devices.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Premium: what additional protection does it provide?
Premium extends Business Security with Microsoft Exchange email protection and several additional tools designed to prevent more complex threats. One of these is HyperDetect technology, which uses configurable machine learning to analyze the behavior of running processes and identify suspicious or malicious activity, even when the threat does not match a known signature.
Premium also protects against fileless attacks, which may use PowerShell, network connections, or running processes. GravityZone monitors this activity to stop harmful instructions, suspicious traffic, and code injection attempts.
Suspicious files and scripts can be sent automatically to an isolated cloud environment using Sandbox Analyzer. It then tests them without putting company devices at risk, observes their behavior, and determines whether they pose a threat.
Premium also organizes information about detected activity and displays a sequence of related events on a specific device. This gives administrators the context they need to understand an alert. However, Premium does not combine data from multiple computers into a single incident; it does not include full EDR.
Who is it for? Companies that want to detect fileless attacks, automatically analyze suspicious files in a safe environment, and investigate the context of events on individual devices, but do not need incident correlation across their entire environment.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Enterprise: when do you need EDR?
Enterprise is designed for situations where analyzing a single device is no longer enough. If suspicious activity appears on several computers, the team needs to determine whether the events are connected, where the attack began, and how far it has spread.
Enterprise includes all Premium features and adds EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response). It monitors endpoint activity, automatically connects related events, and presents them as a single incident.
Administrators get a visual attack chain that shows the source, subsequent actions, and affected devices. This helps them determine whether a blocked process was an isolated attempt or one stage of a larger incident.
Enterprise also uses Anomaly Defense, which flags unusual system behavior. It also provides MITRE tags, helping administrators map detected threats to specific attack techniques.
Who is it for? Companies that need to identify the source, sequence, and scope of incidents and respond quickly to attacks involving more than one device.

Which Bitdefender GravityZone edition should you choose?
The right choice depends mainly on how deeply your company needs to investigate threats and what it needs to do after suspicious activity is detected:
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security is a good fit if you need centralized protection for computers and servers, consistent security policies, and tools that help reduce risk, but do not conduct in-depth incident investigations.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Premium is a good choice if you want stronger detection of fileless attacks, automatic analysis of suspicious files in a safe, isolated environment, and better context for events on individual devices.
Bitdefender GravityZone Business Security Enterprise is the right choice if you want to investigate incidents spanning multiple devices, determine their source and scope, and respond faster with a complete view of the situation.
Quiz: which Bitdefender GravityZone edition is the best fit for your company?
If you are still unsure which edition is the best fit for your company, take this short quiz. Choose A, B, or C for each question. Your result will suggest which GravityZone edition to consider.
How can you extend GravityZone protection?
Each Bitdefender GravityZone edition expands the ability to detect and analyze threats, but the core editions do not cover every security need. That is why selected editions can be extended with additional modules that protect other areas. For example, Extended Email Security protects business email, Patch Management helps identify and deploy missing updates, Full Disk Encryption encrypts data stored on drives, and Security for Mobile protects mobile devices.
If your company uses Business Security Enterprise, you can extend visibility beyond endpoints by adding XDR sensors. These sensors collect signals from email, identity systems, networks, and cloud environments, allowing events detected on an endpoint to be correlated with suspicious sign-ins or activity elsewhere in the organization.
Choose protection that matches your company's real needs
Business Security provides centralized protection and management. Premium expands advanced threat detection and analysis, while Enterprise adds EDR. Additional modules allow you to protect further areas as needed.
