A website for Darkbeacon, a shared map for EVE Online players

Darkbeacon is our tool for EVE Online players: a map where the whole group marks, as it happens, where the passages in space lead. We built darkbeacon.space, a simple site that shows within seconds what the app looks like and why it is worth moving to.

Who the site is for

Darkbeacon is our tool for EVE Online players. On a shared map the whole group marks, as it happens, where the passages in space lead, and everyone sees the others' changes straight away.

Most players use another tool today, Wanderer. The site had to show within seconds that Darkbeacon has everything they use every day, and that moving over does not cost them the data they have gathered.

What we delivered

darkbeacon.space, an English product site, as dark as the game itself.

  • A first screen with an animated space scene and buttons that lead straight to the app.

  • Short sections: one headline, one sentence, three points and one picture.

  • Real app screens instead of illustrations.

  • An honest comparison with Wanderer for those who are moving over.

  • A page on connecting an AI assistant, with a ready prompt to copy.

  • A page for players who want to support the project.

Show it instead of describing it

Players judge a tool like this by how the map looks, so the site shows it right away and the long feature descriptions moved to separate pages. The home page stays short and readable, and anyone who wants more is one click from the details.

Building a product for people who know the subject better than anyone? We'll build a site that shows it without the filler.
