Astro website development for fast static sites

When a site is mostly content, we often build it in Astro and generate the pages at build time. Three of our published projects run on it, from an online accounting office to a blog that kept WordPress for writing.

What we do with Astro

Pages generated once

The pages are built ahead of time and served as files, so nobody waits for a server to assemble them. Visitors on a weak connection notice the difference most.

WordPress kept as the editor

We moved the Pyszne Szlaki blog off classic WordPress onto a static Astro site. The author writes in the same dashboard as before, and every existing URL still works.

Sites built around video

Hareborne opens on aerial footage that starts straight away, on a phone too. Astro renders the page, and the video is streamed rather than downloaded in one heavy file.
