PostgreSQL development and data modelling

PostgreSQL is the database we reach for first. It sits under the Medusa stores we build, the consent platform we built for GBS® and the management system INNPRO runs on, and it often stands in for a warehouse nobody needed yet.

What we do with PostgreSQL

Under business systems

An internal system starts with its data model: what counts as an order, a client or a stage. We settle that in PostgreSQL before the first screen is built.

Under the store

Medusa v2 runs on PostgreSQL, in your cloud account or one we manage. Usage meters live there too, where the primary key does the deduplication, until a meter grows into billions of events.

Instead of a warehouse, when that is enough

With a few sources and modest volumes, a well-structured PostgreSQL database and a clean reporting layer do the job at a fraction of a warehouse's cost.
