WordPress development: headless, care and migration
WordPress is fine for a site that is mostly content, and we say so. Where it starts to cost more than it gives, we either keep it as the writing tool behind a fast static site, as we did for our own Pyszne Szlaki blog, or plan a move off it.
What we do with WordPress
WordPress kept as the editor
Pyszne Szlaki moved off classic WordPress onto a static Astro site. The author writes in the same dashboard, saving a post triggers the rebuild, and every old URL still works.
Updates, backups and security
The core and plugins need updates, backups need testing, and vulnerabilities in popular plugins keep turning up. We take over sites built by someone else and keep them current without a rewrite.
Content published straight into it
Our copywriting and content SEO work goes into WordPress with headings, meta fields and internal links in place, so nobody has to paste and reformat it.
